For storytellers, creators and teachers

Make bedtime stories for your people.

StoryLink is where a parent and a child read the same picture book together on a video call, from two different houses. We give you story credits and our whole story-making system. You make original books, they go on a shelf with your name on it, and your readers open that shelf with your code. Free for you, free for them.

A writer's desk, the thread carrying tonight's story out to a cottage window.
How it works

Four steps, and your shelf is live.

01

You tell us about you

The form below. What you make, who follows you, and the kind of stories you would want to write for them.

02

We give you credits

Story credits land in your StoryLink account, and a shelf with your name on it. The credits are ours to give, so it costs you nothing.

03

You make the stories

You direct them: the characters, the setting, the feeling, the lesson. Our system illustrates and builds the book. You approve every one before it goes up.

04

Your people open them

You get a short code to share. A parent types it once and your shelf is in their library for good, read at bedtime, in their own voice.

The plain terms

What this is, and what it is not.

The credits are on us

Making a story costs real money on our side, and we cover it. You never pay to create, and your readers never pay to read what you make.

You are the author

You decide what happens, who it is about, and how it ends. Your name is on the shelf and on the books. Nothing goes live until you say it is right.

Nothing to do with your published work

We are not asking to license, sell or reprint your existing books. These are new stories you make here, so there is no publisher and no royalties to untangle. What StoryLink needs is simple: your permission to host the stories you make here and show them to the families who use your code. The written terms spell that out before anything goes live.

Made for the people who follow you

Write for your actual audience: the class you teach, the families at your sessions, the parents on your list. Stories that would never exist otherwise.

You can see it working

Every time a family enters your code we count it, and we tell you the number. So you know whether your people actually arrived, rather than guessing.

Written terms, before anything is live

Who owns what, how long the shelf stays up, and how either of us walks away. In plain English, agreed with you first, never assumed.

Try the code

See it before you decide.

Download StoryLink and have a look at what the story-making system actually does. Then open the Profile tab, tap "Add a creator's shelf" and enter this code: the StoryLink Originals shelf appears in your library, exactly the way yours would.

Tell us about you.

A real person reads every one of these, and you will hear back from Viri, who built StoryLink.

We use your details only to talk to you about a shelf. No list, no sharing, and you can ask us to delete them any time. Prefer email? support@story-link.com.au.
